Voodoo Spring Cleaning ’13: May 11th, 2013 at Ballinger Playfield (23000 Lakeview Dr, Mountlake Terrace, WA) from 10am to 2pm. We’ll be doing a round robin mini-tournament and grilling afterward. Come out for a day of sweet ultimate and hanging out with the Voodudes! After the Spring Cleaning, we’ll be inviting select players to come practice with us as we gear up for Flowerbowl 2013. Pre-season track workouts: Come one, come all! Every Thursday, 6:30pm, at Roosevelt High School (1410 NE 66th St Seattle, WA 98115) we’ll being having one of our workout committee members organizing a track workout that focuses on form, lightning quick bursts of speed, and getting in to shape for the season. Work hard!

For Voodudes who make it past our first round of tryouts next Saturday (May 12th) we’ll be holding practices on the following times:
Mon 14 @ 630pm – Track/Mini (Roosevelt HS)
Wed 16 @ 630pm (UW IMA Fields)
Sat 19 @ 11am (UW IMA Fields)
Mon 21 @ 630pm – Track/Mini (Roosevelt HS)
Wed 23 @ 630pm (UW IMA Fields)
Sat 26 @ 11am (UW IMA Fields)
Wed 30 @ 630pm (UW IMA Fields)
It begins…
Voodoo will be hosting two initial tryouts. These tryouts will take place on May 5th, in conjunction with the Sockeye Combine, and on May 12th, at a separate tryout for players who were unable to attend the combine or who would like another chance to showcase their skill. Following these two practices, the selection committee will choose a team of players, likely around 25, who will represent Voodoo at Flowerbowl. This team will practice once or twice a week for the weeks leading up to Flowerbowl. After Flowerbowl, final cuts will be made to the Voodoo roster, and players who did not make the final cut for Sockeye will be able to join Voodoo. Please mark your calendars for the following dates:
May 5 – Sockeye Combine (10am – 4pm) @ Magnuson Meadow
May 12 – Voodoo Tryout (10am – 2pm) @ Magnuson Meadow
June 2-3 – Flowerbowl @ Vancouver, BC
June 16-17 – Solstice (first tournament with a finalized roster) @ Eugene, OR

We are happy to arrange an alternate tryout to work with your schedule. Please feel free to pass this information on to anyone you think would be interested.
